Are you irritated, frustrated, angry or even desperate dealing with inappropriate, embarrassing or destructive dog behavior? Don’t worry any longer, you have come to the right place! Wendy Blanch, the Owner of Leader of the Pack Home Dog Training, provides all of the training with you and your dog, in or around your home where the problems occur. I DO NOT use pinch collars, shock collars or choke collars! I also do not use treats or clickers – praise creates a better bond. Your dog should obey because they want to please you, not because their getting a treat. The goals is to control your dog with proper body language and voice tones.
The guaranteed support gives you peace of mind knowing you have a training partner. After the training is complete, you can receive email and phone support. On-site lessons are provided if your dog develops additional issues that cannot be resolved over the phone or email.
Does your dog misbehave, not listen, run the home? Does your dog think he’s in charge? Most dog’s will if they believe you are not in-charge. Pack structure is very important to a dog, if you’re not in-charge, they will be, because someone needs to be, according to the dog. Teaching pack structure and canine communication will change the dynamics in your “pack”. The first part of our lesson is teaching you this amazing education, that helps resolve the behavioral problems.
Dog Behavioral issues and Obedience Training. I come to your home at a time convenient to everyone in your household. The first lesson is between two to three hours (versus weeks or months by other methods). In the first session, you will see dramatic improvements in your dog’s behavior. We will work on obedience training, Sit, Stay, Come and walk to Heel (to start). Then we will work on Behavioral Issues such as Aggression, Barking, Jumping, Door Rushing, House Manners, etc. You just practice between lessons. The subsequent follow-up lessons, we refine and add on to the goals you have for your dog.I do not use pinch, choke or shock collars, nor treats or clickers. You will learn to better communicate with your dog, by understanding canine communication (body language and voice tones). Once you are in charge of your Pack – you’ll see a calm and happy dog!
All dogs are not the same, so we vary our approach based on each dog’s personality and temperament and what will work for that dog. We will also vary the dog behavior training to suit the family’s specific needs and lifestyle, the dog’s environment and what YOU do or don’t want from your dog.
Wendy has been very successful working with a variety of negative dog behaviors. Our training programs are ideal for dogs with behavioral issues such as barking, jumping, door-rushing, aggression, pulling on the leash, separation anxiety, sibling rivalry, nipping/biting, leash pulling, etc.
All dogs need to learn to be obedient and they love it. The basic commands are: Sit, Stay, Come, Heel and Down. I teach owners to train their dog’s themselves to create the best bond possible. It’s fun and easy once you know what to do. If you want your dog to listen to you, to respect you and love you, training should be done by you! I teach owners to Be the Leader Your Dog Loves, Trusts & Respects!
A very important part of training. Many dogs have issues walking past or interacting with other dogs and people. They have not been properly socialized. We begin by teaching them to interact properly around the home. Once we have worked past this issue in every day situations, we may plan a visit with “My Little Pack of Dog Trainers” at the dog park. It is important that your first visit to a dog park be a positive one. Your dog will meet My Little Pack of Dog Trainers (Lily, Sophia and Paco). Both Sophia and Lily are Certified Pet Partner’s Therapy Dogs. Your dog will learn to socialize with non-reactive dogs (just your dog and my dogs) for a play date! If your dog is so inclined, we can also teach them to use the agility equipment!
Social Outings, also include taking your dog to stores that accept dogs to teach them to be well-behaved and obedient around other dogs, people, sounds, smells, activity and loud noises. Once they’re well socialized and obedient, it’s time to take your AKC Canine Good Citizen test!
Wendy provides Canine Good Citizen (CGC) testing to any dog enrolled in any program. Wendy Blanch is an American Kennel Club Certified CGC Evaluator – #71054. The CGC Program is designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. The Canine Good Citizen Program stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test will receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club.
